EACMG Newsletter – September 2009

  • Group newsletter: Welcome to Heike Metz – EACMG new member +6000 ! 18 Sep 2009, 4:03 pm

    Dear All,
  • Welcome to Heike Metz – EACMG new member +6000 ! We are now more than 6000 members in the EACMG group – not a goal in itself, but worthwhile to celebrate with a review on the present and future cultural aspects in the living world and our daily dose via the cyberspace.
  • Looking at the overall status today we are still struggling along with the financial disaster in mind, but it seems like a green light can be seen at the end of the tunnel. Culture is a wide open word in the sense of meaning and can be defined in productive areas as well as a part of the service sector. Many people and even politicians and decision makers may from time to time consider culture as a service provider only without a thought about the value contributed to the human spirit all over the world. Should the financial support be suspended from the financial public support, it will however continue insofar creative people continues to be creative, still productive and sometimes locked into own universal acts without a view to the fact, that they might be even more productive to the ongoing life on earth than the materialized world of things that should “help” our daily life to be convenient and effective by all means.
  • I am delighted though to note our possibilities of communication via the cyberspace and it is my wish that many will use such a great opportunity to spread out any kind of information, statements or articles in a combination of our goals in action and cultural work to our own benefit as well as the daily spirit for all those who are open minded and willing to share without being locked by the eventual traditions of old fashioned diplomatic behavior normally considered as our own worst enemy. Our EACMG member +6000 introduced herself as follows:
  • ” Hello πŸ™‚ Thanks a lot for your invitation to your group which I gladly accept! Your group sounds open, inspirational, interesting, very positive and I’d love to be a part of it! Warm greetings from Vienna, Heike Metz ” …
  • Exactly how it should be. Anyone is important to our little established society of very different opinions, culture, traditions and habits. The language itself can be a barrier towards communication but even a Google translation may improve our goals for more “connections to the unconnected” – eventual misunderstandings can always be sorted out should it occur. Open minded people can indeed swallow a lot without any kind of prejudice! Another aspect is our “humor” …. the most common misunderstandings between cultural differences in the world. Even a new war could easily be started on basis of ironic, sarcastic or heavy dry humor, which in many cases can be considered as personal attacks. Knowing that we can all be sensitive from time to time it is of course evident to all, that humor much be kept on a level that suits to the many differences in culture, but to be learned by each individual either to absorb or ignore avoiding our own enemy of frustrations.
  • Culture is and will be a process in our societies with a kinds of failures, success, recognized and acknowledged developments opposite the industrial ongoing work with new and better materialized solutions of improvements that will rationalize our daily life in all aspects leaving the Latin word “Cultura” which means “Fauna” as a state in the state with some winners and many looser s. Culture in all aspects is indeed a “lifestyle”, but the energy absorbed by the body and soul is extensive and gives the spirit we all need for an ongoing life circle … it can be a sport discipline in itself.
  • Take care and do not hesitate to comment, write or send whatever might be on your mind and heart. Stay tuned in your cultural universe and blessings to all those who are in danger of loosing their lives whether in conflicting areas, hunger or nature disasters – we can all contribute even with our thoughts and cultural contributions only as long as it may reach the persons in need for help.
  • Angela Nilsson and Kurt Lykke Lindved wish you all a bright and joyful time in the future to come. We will try to do our utmost in our common goals for improvements and actions via this great EACMG cyberspace communication link. …..And here we go….”Learning Process” … Entertainment for your soul and body! All the best from Kurt www.kurtlindved.dk
