Summertime is ending in the northern region of the globe and outdoor activities will probably be turned into the indoor activities where possible. The season concerts, exhibitions, lectures and other cultural arrangements are normally increasing during the upcoming period. The internet users will probably use more time in front of the computer reading surfing or publishing any kind of events and other PR related issues. Our daily life has to a certain extend been prolonged with an ocean of possibilities for explorations, knowledge and developments in the entire world and needless is it to say that it might be difficult to choose our own directions of life insofar we are either dependent or in need for the information flow suited to the individual person.
“Culture” is in my opinion the most open field towards a lot of other issues like business or technology having a more fixed frame of goals and possibilities. Many professionals within the cultural aspects may often change own opinions and terminology insofar the cultural sector can be influenced by outside coming trends and opinions based upon a process of the ultimate democratic systems that allows anyone to speak out whether good or bad statements.
This is indeed very good, but also an addition to all the other workloads presented by the cultural professionals. Usually we are trying to say “be yourself” as a balanced fact of life, but persons living and earning the daily bread in the cultural fields can be forced to make a compromise of own opinions and feelings whenever necessary surviving in a jungle of different popularities or trends.
Our life is our own responsibility – yes, but the spirit is not always coming by itself from the heaven why it may be considered as a “help” to many people if our communities would be able to work with culture in a co-operative way including public support to the cultural professional workers. The todays` culture is indeed very wide, but could need a “guideline” like the business field where anyone involved knows the so called “triple stage” dividing business into various scales of solids, activities and previous history.
The public offices are more or less lost in a jungle of good and bad applications for support without enough knowledge to the quality of the projects or individual performances to be judged …..why they might leave it like this:
Please note that a new RSS feed is implemented on the front page of the EACMG group and anyone interested can either comment or implement own information to be published and distributed worldwide.
The articles and comments in our “forum” will of course continue and for eventual new members in the XING universe I`ll gladly provide them with a driving tour around the different topics.
