World of Culture and Visions.
The world is increasing by 200.000 new born children each day and the total amount of people on earth is about 9 milliards in 2009. No wonder that it may be difficult having an overview in all aspects of life possibilities, different cultures, politics and religious traditions or habits throughout the world.
We do know approximately the status of our earth today and many are trying some kind of predictions for the future. Scientists and other professionals are working quite hard these days to evaluate our entire life situation on earth and the future to come. Those professionals can of course do a lot, but a contribution from persons and organizations interested in our planet and future may be even more valid in the sense of positive and constructive work for a common and clean world for the generations to come.
Our cultures and habits on earth are very different and many times influenced by the present political situation. We have heard the words before “Yes we can” but only if we look away from integrated habits implemented in our daily life as “non-constructive” aspects of life styles in environment subsequently wrong use of out technology in the daily routines. I have just noticed that about 3 million business companies in the US increased the pressure for a good result to the upcoming climate conference via common actions and press releases in order to convince the US Congress and others, that time is running out and something must be done.
Cultural organizations are usually having many visions for peace and harmony in the world and it would be more than delighted to see those organizations in the frontline as well insofar the environment is of the utmost importance to all working as professionals or amateurs in this great field of “cultura”.
The present situation such as an increasing amount of people on earth may lead to more hunger and the overall dangerous CO2 factor may as well change the climate to new areas of deserts, melting ice that will increase the amount of water worldwide and a risk for new deceases. The amount of CO2 today is very different from country to country – USA, Canada and Australia situated on the top of the hit list with 20 tons CO2 per person per year, whereas countries like China and some of the African countries are below 10 tons CO2 per person per year. The average in Europe is 10 tons CO2 per person per year but still too much avoiding damages to the environment and climate changes.
Well, the future will always be unpredictable with many other aspects which might turn around any kind of predictions and I think many people does have enough to do in their own universe living “now” and until tomorrow with new challenges and questions to solve. Our resources have a limitation and it is nearly some kind of “art” administrating our time ultimately in a world of days, hours and seconds.
It is indeed a pleasure to me looking at the variations of EACMG group members with that many skills and backgrounds in the cultural fields. As mentioned before we are all having our own dreams to follow inclusive the skills and professional attitudes towards a better life private or professional and best in a balance of good harmonies like the “blue tunes” in music.
