The world community’s future challenges.

Now it is fortunate that it is impossible to see the entire planet at once regardless of how far we are away in the universe. But if it was possible to see the whole earth as a flat pancake, it would be a surreal picture compared with our imaginations in everyday small own universe.

Only the media may via the live television pictures provide us with an idea of some clips from the planet’s diverse mixture of people, animals and nature. The very fact that we are able to absorb various kinds of conflicts, wars and natural disasters may be one reason why the world community has begun to move closer together in humanity and peace signs.

It is not always milk and honey live pictures coming into the living rooms and personal lives through media presence being precisely where things happens in the world’s flashpoints. We have from time to time been outraged, angry and mad at the media`s direct way to bring both news, reports and interviews, where death and destruction exhausted as a part of life’s agenda. It may of course result in some kind of immunity, but also some conscientious thoughts about our own share of responsibility for the human consequences we can see in many places in that part of the world where education, information and human dignity are yet to be a natural part of everyday life .

In everyday cultural image we hear a lot of good rhetoric speeches or written articles from both leaders and ordinary people, who in one way or another contribute a bid on the present and future prospects for both political and cultural ideals. I hope and believe there is a movement started in both areas as politics and culture are linked in much of life’s daily lives and we becoming more aware of this hope, the future is perhaps more green than in the past.

I was actually surprised that most of the world community could agree to the situation in Libya demanding action unless we once again had to witness genocide. A redemption is the tool whenever the world community act if necessary, but it would also be nice to see the same pattern when it comes to the help we all must make participating to the people living in poverty, hunger and no education. Prevention of conflicts are better than cure when the damage is do ne and if we could contribute to human minimal need to survive and live in dignity, we would save a lot of money on military h ardware, which far exceeds the amounts we currently provide to people in distress.

Our own conscience and what we call next-love would feel much better and without a bad taste in the mouth if we could learn to see just a bit beyond our own ego – man’s worst enemy and friend, depending on wind strength and direction.

Our democratically elected leaders cannot make miracles, but in these areas depending on both you and me and any kind of support can be both directly or indirectly. Indirectly support may be more significant than we might think – a helping hand, uplifting words and compassion to human destiny can lead to such a huge mental boost, that each person can suddenly do more in their everyday struggle for survival.

Life is a part of a relationship between humans and if the planet must be in fairly composure without much damage to the danger for all humanity on earth it is indeed a must to be closer in what we could call the “World`s Umbrella Community”.
