Important is always to find the right people engaged in either the public or private cultural organizers. The many large and small municipalities have obviously a priority agenda and it can be anything from historical preservation, sports, social work, tourism and more.
My visit to different municipalities and private have therefore divided my own assessments of policy and economic priorities , so I will continue my work around the “core cities” who are willing to work on a professional level with music, concerts, events and open-air events.
During the last week I’ve had some good talks with the municipality and the tourism office in Amelie -les- bains , France – situated between Arles-sur-Tech and the town of Ceret and as something new , I will now be able to establish 7 – 10 concerts , events and open-air events each year as well as some concerts in the town ‘s church.
In practice, this means that we can offer several events and concerts for artists who might be interested. The conditions for payment to the performing artists are as usual a “split-fee-entrance-door-step payment” which can vary from EURO 15 – to 40 – per person – depending on the quality, knowledge and professional status of the individual artist or group. There are two concert halls in the city. having seats from 200 – 250 guests. Outdoor events around 500 persons.
I will of course talk to the artists I have in mind for concerts and events at Amalie-les-bains – the priority list around styles informed by the municipality is classical, jazz, swing chanson, special foreign styles, with an ancient cultural background.
Under these circumstances, cooperation with similar agreements will be sought implemented in Perpignan and Collioure.
