We have all the tools to change the over-consumption in the world, but to change behavior is that possible?

At the present time the world 7 billion human mouths that day shall be filled. And it is widely accepted that within a few decades will have 3 billion more for dinner.

This puts in every way humanity is facing enormous challenges. Not only in terms of ensuring food, but in many areas towering fundamental questions about the future of life on Earth up.

What affects the climate? How do we ensure clean water? How is it still possible to stay?

The solutions are clear, but they are difficult to implement

The Sustainability Science Congress 2014 this week has been organized by the University of Copenhagen, has 750 of the world’s leading researchers in the field, turned these and many similar questions.

The good news is that solutions are hundreds, and more are emerging every day.

The not so good is the fact that no one even seems to know the answer to the order in which the solutions should be prioritized, or how they actually put into practice.

Between the myriad of opinion and experience exchanges in every possible language and accents have dominated the sound in Copenhagen through the week, you sense a clear quest for tools that can motivate communities and peoples to implement the necessary changes in behavior that can bring the climate on track.
Demand for food increases with food waste

For while calculations clearly show how CO2 pressure is about 50 percent higher when Treasurer its food, rather than storing them more effectively in the fridge, however, it is very difficult to get answers on how to most effectively get a society with on the idea to make the most sustainable choices.

Meanwhile, discard about 30 percent of all the food produced worldwide. Either before ending up in the mouths of us, or because we never got it eaten before thr smoke in the trash.

Concurrently, demand for food constantly, and in roughly the same pace yesterday the number of overweight up. At the present time the consuming middle class a few billion people on the planet. In the foreseeable future, this is expected to approach the five billion. oipAt the Congress, called on Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt, the attending researchers to disclose, the politicians their best ideas and tools to ensure the world a sustainable future.

But there must be more insofar ideas and much of the requested information is already present, and politicians could take many of them in use in the morning.

It would probably ensure politicians status of absolute former after the next election when unpopular decisions must necessarily be part of the solution.

It’s easy to point fingers at politicians, at a business or who you now want to blame that we annually consume resources at a level that requires one and a half globe to obtain.
– And use your hands to something more constructive

But, I wonder if we should keep his hands in his pockets and use them for something more constructive?

Scientists crave certainly evident after more knowledge about how to change us all in a brain search after the next meal, the next consumer good and the next immediate improvement in our lives to instead seek the next sustainable long-term solution.
