From a European and American prism is war in Syria aimed at IS. It is too strict an approach. The war is more complicated with threads backwards for more than 2,000 years of history, and it may ultimately threaten civilization.
Disregarding the Western countries pursue virtually all other participants in the war have completely different interests than just making up the terror that IS unfolds.
There is a proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia to be the leading power in the Middle East. Within Islam rolls a repeat of clashes between Sunnis and Shiites once more across the stage. And unfolding a civilian civil war within Islam on the maintenance of a theocratic system with the Koran as the basis or reforms, modernization and adaptation to globalization.
IS does not have the success that the organization expected. In the European media, you often hear about European Muslims traveling to Syria to fight. The reality is however, that the account machine must be used to find out just how narrow a minority they represent. There is pronounced certainly support in some Muslim circles to IS, but again, only from a small minority.
