The rich, the poor, the irrepressible and the culture

partnersThe rich, the poor, the irrepressible and the culture

The economic conditions in the world can be measured in many different ways. There are still many rich people around the world who simply invest as in the past – in stocks, bonds and non-profit organizations that facilitate the tax burden for a while.

We are still in the struggle with a myriad of unemployed young people and the future is not really promising the first many years.

Many people mistakenly believe that creative people working with music or art is not an investment prior to the work’s final result, so many are either dropped or the bankruptcy of the rim. The music and the artists’ income are based on hard work and many hours of work and cannot continue to be the “Savior of an Angel” even for rich organizations and any institutions. If counties and municipalities have problems with the economy they must, like any other private company prioritize what is most important and skip a project that only gets into half- solutions.
Just this area plays a major role in the so-called ” Domino Effect”, and I wonder always when I speak with particular authorities on cultural projects – often followed by a long talk about the financial resources that were once available for nearly everything, but perhaps now on the verge of bankruptcy.

Well, there is not really anything new in that under the present circumstances – what is new is that many politicians, executives and boards, that used to have plenty of financial resources to play with has reached the point where they are like any other private small or large companies and hopefully leaders, who can turn the bottom of all the severely affected unemployed and people who are exposed to constant increase in expenses in their daily household.

Music and art will still be united in one way or another, but the level can be a risk to fall down due to lack of money to paying the teachers, instructors and new facilities. Rarely is it that self-taught artists can achieve the same level as professional trained artists.
The culture has always been a game of “the emperor’s beard” – and just politicians, leaders and officials have often had some kind of allergy whenever public or private grants are discussed in the oval meeting rooms. There is not and never has been enough “votes” in cultural support, but the day when most of the spirituality will disappear, the domino effect will reach all the way around to the rich and irrepressible people and even the conspiracy rich people can then use their paper stocks, bonds and other security investments in the firewood oven.

The rich world must really reefing the sail, if not everything will end as the Roman Empire’s ruins, that were built on the basis of the wrong priorities. The culture’s young but talented individuals are already on the way to other grass fields – to the Far East.
